Olivia Chalmers studied at Harrow School of Art in the 1950s, completing a foundation course and then three years of fine art. Her training helped develop her observation, technique, and appreciation of form and colour.

Trained at Harrow School of Art in the 1950s, Olivia’s career has been shaped by a lifelong dedication to fine art and botanical study. Her journey into botanical art began at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where she studied under renowned artists including Annie Farrar, Coral Guest, and Jenny Brazier.
Her exquisite paintings — admired for their precision, colour, and sensitivity — are held in collections around the world, including the Herbarium at Kew Gardens, Imperial College, and the private collection of Dr. Shirley Sherwood OBE. A Royal Horticultural Society medalist and Arts Richmond award winner, Olivia continues to share her love of nature through her detailed depictions of flowers and fruits, celebrating the timeless beauty of botanical art.
